Fire Rated Glass

IFES supplies fire-rated glass in clear and wired variants providing 1-hour and 2-hour fire resistance for vision panels in fire doors, full-glazed fire door assemblies, and fire-rated fixed partition panels. Fire-rated glass is a specialist product — distinct from ordinary toughened, laminated, or wired glass — engineered to maintain integrity (no cracking or breakthrough) and insulation (limiting heat transfer) throughout the rated fire period as per IS:3614-2021 and BS:476 Part 22.

Clear fire-rated glass provides unobstructed vision with full fire resistance — preferred for vision panels and glazed fire doors in reception areas, offices, and lift lobbies. Wired fire-rated glass contains a wire mesh that holds glass fragments in place on breakage, providing integrity without full insulation — suitable for lower-specification applications.
