Shaft Door

IFES Shaft Doors are purpose-engineered fire-rated doors for service shaft openings in buildings — specifically electrical cable shaft doors (2-hour fire resistance rating) and service duct / pipe shaft doors (1-hour fire resistance rating) as mandated by the National Building Code of India 2005, Part 4, Clause 3.4.8.3. Shaft doors protect the vertical fire spread pathway created by service shafts penetrating multiple floor slabs — one of the highest-risk fire propagation routes in a multi-storey building.

IFES shaft doors are self-closing with a dead lock, ensuring the shaft is always sealed against fire and smoke ingress between maintenance visits.
