Clean Room and Cold Storage Doors
Both of these doors exist to hold an environment, not just an opening. One keeps particles and pressure differentials under control; the other keeps temperature in and condensation out. Both fail in the same place — at the seal.
Clean room doors
A clean room door for pharmaceutical, biotech, electronics or hospital use has to be flush, crevice-free and washable, because every recess is a place particles collect and cleaning cannot reach. Our clean room doors are supplied with:
- Fully flush leaf and frame with coved, sealed junctions and no exposed fasteners.
- Powder-coated GI or stainless steel surfaces that tolerate repeated chemical sanitisation.
- Double-gasket sealing to hold the room pressure differential.
- Flush-glazed vision panels and optional interlocking for airlocks and pass-throughs.
Cold storage doors
A cold room door carries an insulated PUF core, a heated frame section to stop the gasket freezing shut, and a safety release so nobody can be locked inside a chamber. Sliding and hinged versions are made to the chamber opening rather than to a standard size.
- 60–150 mm PUF core selected by chamber temperature.
- Anti-condensation heater wire in the frame for freezer applications.
- Inside safety release on every door, without exception.
- PUF panel doors for dock levellers, processing halls and ante-rooms.
Fire rating
Where a clean room or cold store also sits on a compartment line, we supply the same doors in a fire rated construction so one leaf satisfies both requirements.
