Home Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.ifes.co.in and the supply of products by Indian Fire Equipment Systems. By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry or placing an order, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Our Products

IFES manufactures and supplies fire-rated doors and allied fire safety products, including FD60 and FD120 rated metallic and non-metallic doors, manufactured under a BIS licence to IS 3614 and tested at CBRI, Roorkee. Product photographs, finishes and dimensions shown on this website are indicative. Exact specifications for your project are those stated in our written quotation, approved drawing and tax invoice.

2. Quotations

  • Quotations are valid for 15 days from the date of issue unless a different validity is stated in writing.
  • Prices are quoted against the sizes, quantities, fire rating, hardware and finish specified at the time of enquiry. Any change in scope requires a revised quotation.
  • Verbal quotations and indicative budget figures are not binding until confirmed in writing.

3. Orders and Manufacturing

  • An order is treated as confirmed only on receipt of a written purchase order together with the agreed advance payment.
  • Fire doors are made to order. Manufacturing begins after the door schedule, sizes, hardware list and shop drawing are approved by you in writing.
  • Delivery timelines quoted are counted from the date of drawing approval and receipt of advance, not from the date of enquiry.
  • Site measurements, structural openings and levels are the responsibility of the buyer unless a site survey by IFES is expressly included in the order.

4. Pricing, Taxes and Payment

  • All prices are exclusive of GST, which is charged at the rate applicable on the date of invoice.
  • Unless stated otherwise, prices are ex-works. Freight, unloading, lifting and installation are charged separately where applicable.
  • Payment terms are as stated in the quotation or purchase order. Balance payment is due before or at the time of dispatch unless credit terms are agreed in writing.
  • Goods remain the property of IFES until payment is received in full. Risk in the goods passes to the buyer on delivery to the buyer or to the transporter, whichever is earlier.

5. Certification and Compliance

  • ISI marking, BIS licence copies and CBRI test certificates are supplied with the consignment or on request, as applicable to the product ordered.
  • A fire rating applies to the complete tested assembly — leaf, frame, intumescent and smoke seals and the specified hardware. Substituting hardware, cutting the leaf, adding vision panels or altering the assembly at site voids the fire rating and the warranty.
  • The buyer is responsible for correct installation, grouting and periodic maintenance, and for obtaining all statutory approvals, including fire NOC, from the competent local authority.

6. Warranty

Products are warranted against manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of invoice. The warranty covers repair or replacement of the defective component at our option and does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper handling, storage, transport or installation by others.
  • Site damage, water ingress, welding damage, or painting over intumescent or smoke seals.
  • Normal wear of hardware, closers and locks, or damage from misuse or forced entry.
  • Any unauthorised modification, drilling, cutting or repainting of the door assembly.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, product descriptions, photographs, drawings, layouts, logos and marks — is the property of Indian Fire Equipment Systems and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. It may not be copied, reproduced, republished or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

8. Acceptable Use of the Website

You agree not to use this website to transmit unlawful, misleading or harmful material, to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, to scrape content in bulk, or to submit false enquiries. We reserve the right to restrict access where such use is detected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order shall not exceed the invoice value of the goods supplied against that order. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit, project delay costs or loss of business, however arising.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, epidemic, strike, transport disruption, raw material shortage, power failure or any act of government.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Delhi.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on this page at the time of your enquiry or order shall apply to that transaction.
