Complete Active Fire Safety Systems — Design, Supply and Installation

Active fire safety systems are the second layer of building fire protection, working alongside passive elements such as fire doors and compartmentation to detect, alert, suppress, and contain fire events. Indian Fire Equipment Systems (IFES) provides complete active fire safety system solutions — from system design and statutory approvals to supply, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.

Fire Curtains

Motorised, gravity-fail-safe fire curtains for lift doors, lift lobbies, escalator voids, and open-plan areas. IFES fire curtains deploy automatically on fire alarm activation, descending from a compact ceiling-mounted cassette to form a continuous fire and smoke barrier without the permanent visual obstruction of a structural wall. Battery backup ensures deployment during power failure. Ideal for atriums, shopping malls, airports, commercial lobbies, and any building where architectural openness and fire compartmentation must coexist.

Sprinkler and Fire Hydrant Systems

IFES designs and installs wet pipe and dry pipe automatic sprinkler systems, underground hydrant ring mains, terrace hydrant systems, fire water storage tanks, and pumping systems as per NBC Part 4 and Delhi Fire Safety Act 1986. Our design team prepares hydraulic calculations, isometric drawings, and statutory approval documentation. Installation is carried out by trained and experienced fire systems engineers, followed by full commissioning and handover documentation.

Addressable Fire Alarm Systems

Advanced microprocessed addressable fire alarm control panels with zone-wise detection capability for large and high-rise buildings. System components include optical smoke detectors, heat detectors, multi-sensor detectors, manual call points (break-glass units), electronic sirens, and visual alarm devices. Addressable systems pinpoint the exact device and location of a fire event, enabling targeted evacuation and minimising disruption from false alarms.

Fire Fighting Equipment
