Fire Fighting Equipment — Extinguishers, Hose Reels, Pumps and Accessories

First-response fire fighting equipment is the third layer of an integrated building fire safety strategy — available to building occupants for immediate attack on incipient fires before the fire brigade arrives. IFES supplies the complete range of first-response and fixed fire fighting equipment required by NBC 2016 Part IV and fire NOC authorities for all occupancy categories.

Fire Extinguishers

CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) Extinguishers: For Class B (flammable liquids) and Class E (electrical equipment) fires. Preferred for server rooms, electrical switchgear rooms, UPS rooms, and data centres as CO2 leaves no residue and causes no secondary damage to electrical equipment. Available in 2 kg, 4.5 kg, and 6.5 kg capacities as per IS:15683.

DCP (Dry Chemical Powder) Extinguishers: Multi-purpose ABC extinguishers for Class A (solid materials), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (flammable gases) fires. The standard general-purpose extinguisher for offices, corridors, car parks, and warehouses. Available in 1 kg to 50 kg capacities as per IS:15683.

Foam Extinguishers: For Class A and Class B fires — particularly effective on flammable liquid fires in boiler rooms, fuel storage areas, and transformer yards. AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) type as per IS:15683.

Hose Reel Cabinets

Fire Pumps

Electric horizontal split-case and vertical turbine fire pumps as per IS:12469 and NBC 2016 Part IV. Diesel engine-driven standby pump with 6-hour fuel tank, auto-start on pressure drop. Jockey pump for pressure maintenance. Complete pump control panel with auto-start logic, manual override, and fault annunciation.

Accessories

Fire brigade inlet connections (Siamese and single), landing valves (instantaneous and screwed), pressure-reducing valves, test connections, drain valves, fire hose (63 mm and 38 mm, as per IS:636), branch pipes, and nozzles.
